In tandem with our productions, we offer creative drama workshops for groups with autism or other developmental differences.
Through drama techniques and multi-sensory exploration, our workshops encourage creativity and imagination while allowing participants to build relationships with each other and the Bluelaces ensemble.
We aim for our workshops to be a positive, valuable addition to your programming, so we are flexible, as much as possible, to your needs regarding age range, size of group, and scheduling.
Local schools and organizations interested in workshop packages can contact Director of Education Allison Finder at .

"A big THANK YOU to everyone at Bluelaces Theater Company who made our two fun mornings of drama workshops possible. You gave 72 high school students a wonderful new experience! The energy of your workshop leaders was contagious. As children on the Autistic Spectrum, many of our students have difficulty expressing emotion, but during our "space adventure" most had big smiles on their faces! It was wonderful to see them so engaged and able to express their delight in a way that is too often difficult for them. We hope you have time to visit some of our classes in other schools next year!"

"I want to say thank you for allowing my class to participate with Bluelaces. My students really enjoyed the activity the ladies did with my class. The students were attentive and participated in the entire activity. My one autistic student loved the scarf that was given during their "blast off to outer space". They were amazed when they made stars with stardust. It gave them a chance to use their imagination which actually ties into the Expeditionary Learning unit we are currently on. Even the quietest of students laughed and took part without hesitation."
